Almera’s momentum in the rock art world has continued and accelerated into the new millenium. Almera created album covers for the "Fistful of Rock'n'Roll" compilation by Teepee Records, "Symbolic" by the Voodoo Glow Skulls, and the "Metal Bass" compilation published by Pandisc Records. He also created the official artwork for the 2000 Triple Crown of Surfing contest series held on the North Shore of Hawaii. That summer, Poster Pop licensed eleven of his graphics for stickers to be distributed worldwide.
In July of 2000, Almera travelled to Germany for a series of successful gallery shows in Hamburg and Berlin. In November, he was included in the Dia de Los Muertos Art and Music Especial in Los Angeles. By the end of 2000, Almera had created eight additional serigraphs.
Currently, Almera has been invited to have an original painting exhibited in the "Uncommercial Art by Commercial Artists" show at the La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles. Eleven new sticker designs are slated for production by Poster Pop. Marco has also begun creating artwork for a few high-profile projects with a client in Japan.
Interviews and articles featuring Marco Almera have been published in Surfing Magazine in the U.S., Cal Magazine in Japan, and Germany’s Blond, Brett, and Surfer Magazines.
